Supporting the project
The Roya International District will be built with the help of partners and benefactors. Any support towards its funding is welcome: proposals may be sent to the secretariat.
His Most Reverend Highness the Prince-Abbot of Sabourg has decided to make the Principality's original territory a place of spiritual interaction, where the monotheistic religions can engage with the other religions of the world, in order to raise the spirituality of peoples. Such is the ambition of the Spiritual Agora of Sabourg.
The project requires spaces devoted to meetings and teaching, as well as a permanent meeting place for each religion.
A place of worship for each religion
The Agora provides for five places of worship, each dedicated to a great spiritual tradition:
- an animist temple;
- a Buddhist temple;
- a Hindu temple;
- a mosque;
- a synagogue.
A demountable university campus
For meetings and teaching, the project relies on a single modular structure: a demountable, reusable building designed to house all the functions of a university campus. Transported and quickly assembled, it is used on site, then dismantled and stored.
The Ecumenical Institute of Sabourg
The Sovereign has already travelled to many parts of the world to involve other spiritual leaders in the creation of a theological institution, the Ecumenical Institute of Sabourg. The aim of this academic institution is to bring together the spiritual knowledge of all the religions of the planet, to find common ground and to work for the progress of humankind, with love and peace.
A project funded by the Digital Foundation
The Digital Foundation of Sabourg has already funded the project to restore the lands bordering the river Roya.
